GRANDMA INJURED BY FALLING BRICKS

By MAURA O'CONNOR & LARRY CELONA

A woman pushing her 18-month-old grandson through Manhattan's Kips Bay was struck in the head [Thursday] when bricks and debris fell 14 stories from the facade of a building under repair.

Yuet Lau, 58, suffered a concussion and was treated at Bellevue Hospital after the incident at 415 Park Avenue South. The canopy of the stroller protected the little boy from being hit, witnesses said.

The city later stopped facade repairs on a section of the building apart from where the bricks fell. No repair work was being done right at the accident site.
